Blog1- Introduction

We have been asked to produce a front cover, contents page and a double page spread for a music magazine. All areas of the magazine must be created by us including photos taken. The price, how often the magazine is released, the content of the magazine and what genre the magazine is. The skills required in this task are the same or similar to the skills in the preliminary task. The main genre of the magazine i am producing is drum and bass but there are several sub genres which are featured in the magazine. They are generally variations of this genre, the main focus of these sub-genres is dubstep which although is a genre in itself is originated from drum and bass.

Introduction

In the preliminary coursework task we have been asked to produce a college magazine front cover and contents page. All the work had to be completed by you: this included the photographs for the magazine. In creating this magazine we had to decide on a title, price, the content in the magazine and how often the magazine would be released (monthly etc). We also had to arrange all the information in a magazine format and layout. All areas of the magazine were chosen and designed to appeal to the correct demographic. This was of course college students however there is much variation in this target audience which is why i chose to keep the design fairly open so it would appeal to a larger demographic.
